Welcome to the University-Industry Linkage and Technology Transfer Directorate (UILTT) of Woldia University.

Our Directorate is committed to strengthening partnerships between the University, industry, government institutions, and the community. Through collaborative research, innovation, technology transfer, internships, consultancy services, and entrepreneurship support, we strive to transform knowledge into practical solutions that contribute to sustainable development and socio-economic growth.

About the Directorate

The University-Industry Linkage and Technology Transfer Directorate (UILTT) serves as a vital bridge between Woldia University, industry, government institutions, development partners, and the wider community. The Directorate is committed to transforming research findings, innovations, and academic expertise into practical solutions that address societal challenges, support industrial growth, and contribute to national development.

Through strong partnerships and collaborative initiatives, the Directorate promotes applied research, technology transfer, innovation, entrepreneurship, consultancy services, and workforce development, ensuring that university knowledge creates tangible impact beyond the classroom.

  • Build and strengthen partnerships with industries, government institutions, NGOs, and development partners.
  • Facilitate student internships, industrial attachments, and staff externship programs.
  • Promote joint applied research that addresses industry and community needs.
  • Coordinate consultancy services and professional training programs.
  • Support innovation, entrepreneurship, and business incubation initiatives.
  • Facilitate technology transfer, commercialization, and startup development.
  • Manage intellectual property protection, registration, and utilization.
  • Mobilize grants and resources for research, innovation, and technology transfer activities.
  • Conduct tracer studies, impact assessments, and stakeholder engagement programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of university-industry collaboration initiatives.
