Inaugural Meeting of the EthiopianComprehensive Universities Association Held

The inaugural meeting of the Ethiopian Comprehensive Universities Association was hosted by Medawelabu University.

The opening program of theassociation’s inaugural meeting was attended by presidents of comprehensive universities and other senior officials from the Ministry of Education. It was highlighted that theassociation will facilitate organized efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration among higher education institutions, particularly comprehensiveuniversities.
Dr. Anagagregn Gashaw, the chairman of the association and president of Debre Tabor University, emphasized thatworking together to fulfill national responsibilities and achieve their vision is essential for higher education institutions. He noted that the associationwill play a significant role in achieving institutional goals.
Dr. Abebe Girma, president of Woldia University, also participated in the inaugural meeting of theassociation. Following the reforms implemented by the Ministry of Education on higher education institutions, universities are being categorized into four groups (Science and Technology,Research, Applied, and Comprehensive Universities) and are working according to the focus areas assigned to them.

የኢትዮጵያ አጠቃላይ (Comprehensive) ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ማህበር ምስረታ ጉባኤ ተካሄደ።

የኢትዮጵያ አጠቃላይ (Comprehensive) ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ማህበር ምስረታ ጉባኤ በመደወላቡ ዩኒቨርሲቲ አስተናጋጅነት ተካሂዷል።

የኮምፕሬሄንሲቭ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ፕሬዚዳንቶችና ሌሎች የትምህርት ሚኒስቴር ከፍተኛ የስራ ሀላፊዎች በተገኙበት የማህበሩ ምስረታ ጉባኤ የመክፈቻ ፕሮግራም የተካሄደ ሲሆን የከፍተኛ ትምህርት ተቋማት በተለይም በአጠቃላይ (Comprehensive) ዩኒቨርሲቲነት የተለዩት እርስበርሳቸው ተቋማዊ ጉድኝትን በማጠናከር ስራዎችን በቅንጅት ለመስራት እንደሚያስችላቸው ተገልጿል። የአጠቃላይ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ማህበር ሊቀመንበርና የደብረታቦር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕሬዚዳንት የሆኑት ዶ/ር አነጋግረኝ ጋሻው የከፍተኛ ትምህርት ተቋማት በጋራ በመሆን የተጣለባቸውን ሀገራዊ ሀላፊነት ለመወጣትና የራሳቸውን ራዕይ ለማሳካት በትብብር መስራታቸው አማራጭ የሌለው ጉዳይ በመሆኑ ይህ ማህበር ደግሞ ተቋማዊ ቅንጅታቸውን ለማሳካት የሚኖረው ሚና ከፍተኛ መሆኑን ገልፀዋል።

የወልድያ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕሬዝደንት ዶ/ር አበበ ግርማ የማህበሩ ምስረታ ጉባኤ እየተካፈሉ ይገኛሉ፡፡ ትምህርት ሚኒስቴር የከፍተኛ የት/ት ተቋማት ላይ የተደረገዉን ማሻሻያ (Reform) ተከትሎ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎችከአራት ምድብ (የሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጅ፣ የምርምር፣ የአፕላይድና የአጠቃላይ) በመባል ተለይተዉ በተሰጣቸዉ የትኩረት አቅጣጫ እየሰሩ እንደሚገኙ ልብ ይሏል፡፡
