The endeavors to launch School of Law of the university were begun  since 2016  G.C. The needs assessment was completed in 2017 G.C.  The law lecturers who took the initiative to conduct the needs assessment were employed in school of land administration.  The final approval of the launching of the school was given by the University senate in 2020 G.C.  The school was then  officially established in that same year , started to admit and teach students since 2022.

The school is committed to contribute its own share in conducting problem solving research, engage in community service activities the most important of which is Free legal aid service, provide quality legal education to students both in the regular and weekend program with the instrumentality of  its young and energetic law teachers.
