Woldia University, Institute of for Advanced Studies in Cultural Heritage Management and Conservation (WLDU-IHTS) aspires to be center of excellence in Cultural Heritage Management and Conservation in Ethiopia by 2025 E.C.
Mission
The mission of Woldia University, Institute for Advanced Studies in Cultural Heritage Management and Conservation (WLDU-IHTS) is to produce skilled and competent man power through the provision of quality education, conducting result-oriented research and offering problem solving community service in cultural heritage conservation, cultural heritage management, museum studies, cultural tourism management and archaeology.
Objectives
The overall objective of reforming the academic structure and its governance is to develop an academic structure which includes functioning organs enabling implementation of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Cultural Heritage Management and Conservation (WLDU-IHTS) and meet national expectations from the Institute and realizations of its strategic plan. The academic structure reform is believed to ensure responding swiftly facilitate the overall activities in the university, the need of the industry and adapt best practices across the globe in order to produce right caliber professionals that play active role in the development of Ethiopia.
